DevOps & Data Architecture Engineer

Job Summary

Heidi Systems is looking for a senior engineer to lead its DevOps and data infrastructure. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining the end‑to‑end deployment pipeline, monitoring stack, and data ingestion systems for metering and building data. You will work closely with the founders to make architecture decisions and set engineering standards for the team. Key responsibilities include managing CI/CD pipelines with Docker and GitHub Actions, operating production environments on Hetzner, handling PostgreSQL clustering and backups, and ensuring robust monitoring and incident response for MQTT/IoT streams. The engineer will also develop backend services in Go and TypeScript, validate high‑volume device data, and create internal tooling to automate operations.
