Job Summary

MapTiler, a leading map platform provider, is expanding its design practice to accelerate its transition into an AI‑driven company. The role of Head of Design will focus on building a high‑performing design team, setting quality standards, and ensuring a user‑centric approach across all products and customer experiences. The incumbent will collaborate with product managers, developers, and marketing teams while representing design in executive discussions. Responsibilities include hiring, performance management, career development, and defining how AI tools are integrated into the design workflow. The position requires a seasoned design leader with a strong portfolio and hands‑on experience in UX/UI. Applicants should demonstrate ability to influence at the executive level, articulate design decisions with research, and drive design maturity across the organization. Knowledge of GIS or cartography is a plus, but not mandatory.
