Job Summary

Proxima Fusion is developing the hardware and infrastructure for the world’s first commercial stellarator fusion power plant. The role of the Instrumentation Development Embedded Engineer focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining high‑speed FPGA‑based control and protection systems for the Alpha fusion demonstrator. Responsibilities include writing and verifying HDL code, creating embedded software and firmware, and establishing CI/CD pipelines and test environments that integrate with plant design frameworks. The engineer will work closely with RF, controls, electronics, and systems teams to define interfaces, develop verification plans, and drive reusable FPGA architectures across the organization.
