Job Summary

KatRisk is a leading provider of catastrophe risk modeling solutions, helping businesses and organisations understand and manage risks from natural and man‑made disasters. The company seeks a Junior Catastrophe Risk Analyst to join its modeling and analysis team. The role involves working closely with senior developers to maintain and enhance Python‑based data pipelines, validate and interpret complex risk datasets, and support the creation of visualisations that aid decision‑making. Candidates will develop and maintain scripts, perform data cleaning and validation, and contribute to the interpretation of model outputs. Responsibilities include identifying anomalies, suggesting improvements, and documenting processes for traceability. Strong programming skills in Python, knowledge of data libraries such as pandas and numpy, and familiarity with Git version control are essential. Candidates with a background in geospatial data, SQL, or insurance/reinsurance topics will have an advantage.
