Manager, Clinical Pharmacy Operations

Job Summary

The position of Manager, Clinical Pharmacy Operations at Centene Corporation focuses on developing and overseeing clinical pharmacy tools and programs that align with corporate and regional drug utilization and financial objectives. The role requires strong leadership in managed care or PBM clinical pharmacy operations, including clinical edits, drug utilization review, prior authorization, claims adjudication, and formulary management. Responsibilities include directing clinical pharmacy activities, ensuring quality assurance, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards such as Medicare Star ratings and HEDIS measures, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams and external partners. The manager will also develop clinical recommendations, monitor evidence‑based pharmacy practice, and serve as the primary liaison for clinical pharmacy matters. Ideal candidates hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, have 1–3 years of clinical pharmacy experience, and possess at least four years of progressively responsible managed care pharmacy experience, including a minimum of two years in a leadership role. Public speaking experience and a valid state Registered Pharmacist license for the assigned region(s) are required. The role is fully remote, operating from Canada.
