Robotics Data Engineer – Human Motion Data

Job Summary

EASE, a TUM spin‑off, is developing AI‑powered exoskeletons for logistics and manufacturing. The Robotics Data Engineer will design and build end‑to‑end pipelines that transform raw exoskeleton recordings into clean, robot‑ready datasets. This includes defining signal formats, synchronisation, calibration, and metadata, as well as creating tooling for quality checks, segmentation, annotation, and GDPR‑compliant data handling. The role also involves setting up cloud storage and compute environments in collaboration with the robot learning team, implementing anonymisation and consent workflows, and ensuring data integrity across the pipeline. Experience with Python, SQL, and pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow (or equivalent) is essential, along with knowledge of time‑series sensor data and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
