Senior Accountant

Job Summary

EverTrue is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage detailed accounting and reporting for its communities, programs, and financial entities. The role involves preparing monthly journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, analyzing variances, and supporting the annual budget and cost reporting processes. The candidate will also mentor junior staff, drive process improvements, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial information. Key responsibilities include: • Timely preparation of journal entries and reconciliations • Maintaining trial balance accuracy and resolving discrepancies • Analyzing budget vs. actual results and supporting year‑end audits • Assisting with Form 990 and cost report preparation • Leading process improvements and providing training to new accountants. The ideal applicant holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) and has over five years of general accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and a strong understanding of general ledger functions are essential.
