Senior Full Stack Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

Job Summary

Shipup, an award‑winning eCommerce post‑purchase and returns specialist, is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong Ruby on Rails experience. The role is fully remote, but requires a right to work in Bulgaria and no visa sponsorship will be offered. The engineer will work on a modern, scalable SaaS platform, building and maintaining backend services, APIs, and integrations. The position involves collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to continuous integration and deployment. Candidates should have extensive commercial experience with Ruby on Rails and be comfortable working with a stack that includes Go, TypeScript, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Redis, and Google Cloud Platform. The role demands strong object‑oriented programming skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to write clean, well‑tested code. Senior engineers will also share knowledge, help mentor junior staff, and stay current with industry best practices.
