Senior Security Engineer – Data Security (DLP & Information Protection)

Job Summary

Deciphex is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to safeguard sensitive data across its clinical and research digital pathology platforms. The role focuses on implementing and managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and information protection controls in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and AWS environments. You will collaborate closely with the Digital Trust & Transformation Office, working alongside information security, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to design, deploy, and fine‑tune data protection mechanisms. Key responsibilities include configuring classification, labeling, and access controls to ensure data is shared only as intended; conducting regular least‑privilege access reviews; setting retention, versioning, and recovery policies to protect against ransomware and accidental loss; and enforcing encryption and key‑management standards for cloud data stores. You will also perform technical security reviews of new tools, integrations, and AI services before they handle sensitive data. This hands‑on engineering position requires a deep understanding of cloud security platforms, incident response, and compliance governance. You will lead the technical side of data incidents, monitor audit logs, and collaborate with product and data teams to promote secure data handling practices across the organization.
