Amit Shah Falls Ill in Hubballi, Skips College Inauguration

On 19 September, Union Home Minister Amit Shah was unable to attend the inauguration of a new college in Hubballi due to sudden ill health. The minister, who had been scheduled to launch the ceremony, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The event, which was expected to attract several dignitaries, proceeded without the central minister, with a senior minister stepping in to give the opening address.

The inauguration of the newly established college in Hubballi, Karnataka, was slated to be graced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on 19 September. However, the minister fell ill abruptly and was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent care. As a result, he had to forgo the ceremony.

With the Home Minister’s absence, the event was carried out by a senior minister who delivered the opening remarks and cut the ceremonial ribbon. The college, which aims to provide higher education opportunities for the local community, was still expected to open its doors to students after the ceremony.

Sources say that Amit Shah’s health is under close monitoring and he may resume duties once discharged. The college’s management expressed regret over the minister’s absence but remained optimistic about the forthcoming academic year.
