A Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata will feature a visual timeline of Suvendu Adhikari’s political career, capturing his journey from a BJP parliamentarian to the present Chief Minister of West Bengal. The installation aims to provide visitors with a narrative of his key milestones, including election victories, party shifts, and significant policy initiatives. The pandal’s design combines traditional Durga Puja aesthetics with symbolic representations of Adhikari’s political milestones. Organisers hope that the blend of cultural tradition and political storytelling will attract both devotees and political enthusiasts to the event.
The pandal’s creators have stated that the exhibit will be educational, allowing attendees to learn about the political transformations that have shaped West Bengal’s recent history. They emphasized the importance of presenting a balanced view of Adhikari’s career, acknowledging both achievements and controversies. The display is scheduled to run throughout the main Puja period in late September and early October, coinciding with the peak of festival activity in the city.
