The Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Kerala held an extended state committee meeting to review and refine its leadership structure. Three prominent party workers—P. Jayarajan, M.B. Rajesh and V. Sivankutty—were chosen to join the state secretariat, the body responsible for day‑to‑day party administration.
The reshuffle was carried out under the guidance of the party’s central leadership. General Secretary M.A. Baby and other Polit Bureau members supervised the proceedings, ensuring that the changes align with the CPI(M)’s broader strategy.
The inclusion of these cadres is part of a series of corrective steps aimed at enhancing coordination and responsiveness within the party’s Kerala units. The move reflects the party’s ongoing efforts to adapt its organizational mechanisms to current political dynamics.
