A life‑size wax likeness of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on its way to Kolkata as part of a birthday tribute. The sculpture, created by a well‑known wax studio, will be exhibited at a major venue in the city for a short‑term display.
The statue is expected to be unveiled on or around September 12, the day the Prime Minister turns 71. The exhibition will allow visitors to view a detailed representation of Modi and is anticipated to draw large crowds of supporters and curious onlookers.
The event is part of a series of celebrations across India to honour the Prime Minister’s birthday. While the statue’s arrival in Kolkata marks a local highlight, similar displays have been arranged in other major cities in recent years.
