On Monday, a landslip occurred on the Adimaly‑Munnar section of the Kochi‑Dhanushkodi National Highway during ongoing widening work.

The incident halted all traffic. While crews were removing the debris, a second landslip struck the area, prompting officials to extend the ban.

The traffic restriction will remain in place for another two weeks, affecting commuters traveling between Adimaly and Munnar. Road authorities are working to stabilize the slope and restore safe passage.
