Suvendu Adhikari, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, has articulated a clear objective for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP): to defeat the Trinamool Congress (TMC) through democratic means and thereby secure its continued rule in the state. Speaking at a party rally, the CM underscored that the BJP’s success depends on winning elections fairly, rather than resorting to coercion or intimidation.
The CM urged his party cadre to intensify voter outreach, focusing on issues that resonate with the electorate such as employment, infrastructure, and public services. He also stressed the importance of maintaining unity within the party and avoiding internal dissent that could weaken the campaign.
Adhikari’s remarks come as the BJP prepares to contest the next West Bengal assembly elections, where it seeks to broaden its base against a strong TMC opposition. The statement signals the party’s intent to rely on organized, grassroots mobilization to achieve electoral gains.
The BJP’s strategy, according to the CM, involves a disciplined campaign that respects democratic norms while aggressively targeting the TMC’s support base across urban and rural constituencies.
