The Telangana Health Minister, C. Damodar Raja Narasimha, has directed officials from the Roads and Buildings (R&B) and Health departments to accelerate pending work at the Warangal Super Specialty Hospital and guarantee that the facility is fully equipped before its inauguration. During a meeting in Hyderabad, the minister reviewed construction progress at the Warangal hospital as well as the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) hospitals at Alwal and LB Nagar. With the Warangal hospital’s opening approaching, he examined its floor plans and instructed that infrastructure needed for outpatient (OP) services—registration counters, consultation rooms, a pharmacy and diagnostic facilities—be prioritized. Construction agencies assured that all OP infrastructure, including the preparation of six operation theatres, would be completed by 15 November.
"The hospital should be equipped to provide all necessary medical services under one roof, ensuring that patients would not have to be referred to other hospitals for treatment," the minister added.
The minister also directed the government‑appointed team of doctors to regularly visit the Warangal hospital and the TIMS facilities to monitor preparedness and progress. Officials reported that construction at the Alwal TIMS hospital is in its final stages, with medical equipment installation underway, while the LB Nagar TIMS facility is expected to reach its final stage by March 2027.
